CHAPTER 9 | Hot

DEVI'S POV:

I am now in front of his flat's door waiting for him to open the door. Mom did insist on coming to meet him but she got a call related to business so she and dad are now looking after that, it did not seem to finish soon so here I am.

I do not know what is taking him so long to open the door.

AUTHOR'S POV:

Rudran was immersed in his work and just finished his coffee. That's when his door bell rang. He cursed thinking who it was disturbing him at this time and while coming to attend it, he struck his foot to the end of the couch. So he was now on the floor struggling silently holding his foot, his foot's pinky was all red and hurting while his nail broke slightly and bleeding.

Meanwhile Devi was waiting holding the carriage but she did not knock or ring the bell continuously rather waited for around 5 minutes before ringing the bell again.
Rudran was frustrated and hurt that he could not think straight but went to attend the door limping slightly.

He opened the door with a force, frustrated with all the happenings but his frustration died down seeing Aarna there meanwhile Aarna who's looking at the floor tilted her head upwards only to see the most drool worthy sight.

Rudran was just in his black shorts that too low enough to showcase his v line perfectly and was he going commando? Yes. But that is an inner talk that shouldn't be discussed aloud 😉

Rudran did not realise yet that he was half naked in front of his neighbour woman who he thinks is interesting while he was silently zoned out for some reason, Aarna truly took the chance to check him out. Hot! Is what she thought. Come on she is not all that innocent now. It is 21st century and you get to know things even if you do not look for them ;)

Rudran came out of his thoughts when Aarna cleared her throat seeing that he is still zoned out and forwarded her hands to give him the carriage.
Awkwardly Rudran looked into her eyes, silently grabbing what she is giving and asked "You here at this ...time?"

"Ha auntie called, saying to feed her little son who forgets to eat while he works." She said smiling.

Aarna don't know why but she found him so cute at that moment with ruffled hair that were falling smoothly on his forehead, he usually gelled 'em for work which was hot and that body huff! Not too muscular but just right one with a fit look. He was looking like a mixture of hot and cute to her. Was she developing a crush for her cute, hot neighbour who was a psychology professor? Oh no.. but that doesn't sound too bad right?

He laughed listening to her words began to move inside and said "common ma is like that only. You did not have to bother yourself and follow her words."

"It was not a bother, my mom cooked it actually and I bought some for you." She said walking behind him and saw him placing the carriage on the living room table.

"Oh right Your parents are here. I wanted to meet them but I have a lot of work pending so maybe later I will drop by" He said

"Sure. Actually mom was coming to meet you but then got caught up with a work call herself." she replied. She could not help but let her gaze drop to his torso once in a while.

However Rudran who was now totally focused have caught her sight falling down more than necessary that's when he realised he was not wearing a shirt. He usually had a shirt on all the time except for bedtime but after shower he dropped the idea of wearing one just like that.

Now he was flustered.

Aarna was a reserved women for sure but it is Rudran whom we are talking about, her hot professor neighbour whom she trusts the most in this city of course along with his mother Roopa.

"If you will finish eating. I will leave." said Aarna watching him and she did not miss that stressful look on his face, his red eyes with a disheveled appearance give off that he is very tired and stressed.

"What! That's not needed I am not a kid. I will have it, go and spend time with your family." Rudran said.

"No way! I gave my word to auntie that I will take care of her little son. So I am not leaving until I make sure you ate." Said Aarna grinning.

"what's with this little son." He mumbled and made his way to his room to put on his shirt.
He secretly loved the care Aarna had on him.

Aarna went to the kitchen with the carriage and made a plate for him and settled everything on the dining table.

Rudran was flustered again seeing how comfortable Aarna was at his home and with him.

As he was thinking, Aarna got a call from her work informing her to send a specific information about her current project.Sure it is weekend and no one works on weekend but it seemed urgent as Aarna rushed out Rudran's flat not before gesturing him to eat.

Rudran sighed feeling lonely but suddenly got reminded of his remaining work making him to finish eating quickly and get back to work.
