HERE'S THE NEXT CHAPTER. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE IT☺️
Rudran's POV:
I was beyond shocked after heeding the words of Satya, my student. I never saw her in that light, not only her but any of my students.
I always made sure to be professional and talk only to convey information to my students. It seems that I was not doing a good job because my student grew feelings on me, when I only see her as a learning child.
"Sir I truly believed you to be single and that is one of her reasons I developed feelings on you. I love you sir. I wanted to convey this to you and I thought I was making my intention clear through my actions but maybe you could not catch it. Anyways congratulations, Ma'am is so pretty and please make sure to inform your status in the college too because so many students are behind you."
She ended with a sarcastic laugh.
I still cannot forget how she called back to tell me this. Though she made light of the tension there, i could see hurt and unshed tears. She is so young to go through to such.
I was currently cutting vegetables in the kitchen along side my mom who is stirring something listening to my narration.
After listening to the entire thing, she stopped doing what she was doing and stood by me patting my back saying "It is not your fault Rudra. Do not feel guilty for something you did not do. I know you, It is common for young girls to feel attracted to anyone easily but this is wrong in her place because you are her professor. Talk to her later okay, she will understand. Atleast I hope so."
She went back to stirring the curry and said "Besides I shouldn't blame her too because how can anyone resist my son's charm". She said making me chuckle at her tone. She is always like this, my instant mood lifter, My Best Friend.
"Who do you think the genes are from" i played along sassily flipping my hair. She immediately looked behind at the picture that is hung in the living room which is seen from the kitchen.
"Of course from your father who was irresistible himself" she said looking gloomily at the picture. I went and held her shoulder, looking at the picture too. We miss him so much. She looked at me and laid her head on my chest while I caressed her hair.
The memories of him surrounding us, it has been 10 years since he left us but i know he will always watch over us.
Suddenly she looked up from my chest and smiled goofily while i was confused at her sudden change of behaviour.
"You did not tell me" She asked frowning.
"Tell what?" I asked still confused at her behaviour.
"That you are married" She questioned by raising her eyebrows teasingly.
I left her and turned my attention back to cutting vegetables and said "Come on mom, she just assumed okay!"
"Is that so, then why did you not correct her?" She asked again.
I was flustered both then and now. Aarna as my wife. Oh my god! I never thought about her that way and now giving it a thought seems so dangerous, to my health.
Gulping I answered slowly "I was shocked at her confession mom, I could not stop and say that to her as she already possesses feelings for me. I felt it as a bad sign".
"If you say so". She replied getting back to her work.
I slowly slipped out of kitchen after chopping off the required veggies and sighed.
After cooking was done, my mom packed some food in a hot box, i instantly can guess who it is for. Aarna!
I hoped she would call me to deliver the container like any other time but she did not. Instead she went to the door, I followed her to the main door and asked her "Why do you bother going, I will go and give it." And forwarded my hand to take the box.
She smiled so goofily as if she was expecting this and replied "no, i want to go and also see if I should help her to settle things before her parents arrive."
I said "oh okay, let's go" and started opening the door until she tucked me back by holding the back of my shorts band and said "nuvu ekkadiki?"
"Where are you coming to?"
" To see if i could help too" i replied confused at her resistance.
"No need. I myself am enough there." She said and proceeded to go
"While I stood there and whined "i am bored ma"
"Aren't you going to 'The Home' today" She asked . (Orphanage)
"No today there is an excursion to the kids and there are enough volunteers" i replied.
She stopped, gave me a bored look and said "go prepare questions for upcoming papers" .
Oh shit how did I forget that! I without replying her went running to my room.
